My Studio

Studio Space and Instrument Photos

My spacious studio is in a beautiful, rural setting. Quiet enough for recording and designed to inspire a focus on the musical experience at hand – practicing, teaching, learning, rehearsing, performing, composing, improvising.

Instruments
My personal concert marimba is the heart of my studio (Yamaha YM6000, Serial No. 10). In addition to this, my students have the use of the highest quality professional musical instruments including:

Beatnix Rhythm Analyzer
GP Percussion Symphonic Timpani
Vintage Rogers 5 Piece Drum set

Technology Gear

Roland Electronic Drum Set
Roland K-2000 Amp
Mallet Kat
Kurzweil K-2000 Synthesizer
Metronomes
Laptop with wireless internet connection
Edirol R-09 Digial recorder
Professional quality microphones and hard disk recording gear

Music Library and Other Resources

Students have access to my extensive audio and sheet music library which I have built up over my career as a performer and percussion educator. In addition I draw on my extensive mallet and stick collection when teaching so students may expand their experience and concepts of sound without the expense of purchasing mallets.
